Diana Brantley's Chocolate Pound Cake

Cream: 2 sticks butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs

Combine: 3 cups flour
4 tbsp and 1 heaping tsp cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp soda

Other ingredients: 1 cup milk
2 tsp almond flavoring
1 tsp vanilla

Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, alternately with milk.

(Mix in some of the dry, then some of the milk, and repeat till batter is well blended.) Mix in flavorings.

Bake in greased, floured tube pan at 325-350 for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

This wonderful cake is even better with fudge icing! A chocoholic's delight!
